It took years for my mother to admit she had a addiction. Her addiction caused much pain and sorrow in our family and childhood was not very pleasant for me. My mother went into addiction treatment center two years ago and today she is the mother I always wanted her to be.

Chemical dependence seems to run in my family. I am the only child out of 7 brothers and sisters who has not fallen prey to chemical dependence.
